This loop will leads us to the majestic region of Alto Douro Vinhateiro, where the slopes of the mountainous areas border the river and take strength with infinite hectares of vineyards in the form of truly spectacular terraces. This route was listed as one of the most beautiful roads in the world and we are pleased to share it with you, riding on a motorbike and enjoying the pure air that this region offers us. On this route do not miss visiting Peso da Régua and Pinhão where you will enjoy good restaurants and wonderful views before travelling to the border with Spain where you can visit some of the most beautiful Portuguese villages as well as its fascinating castles that were for many centuries strategic locations used for the defense of the country. It is also worth visiting one of the vineyards where they make guided tours and tastings of the production of these vineyards. To make this loop complete we leave you two more villages among many others that you can not miss: Vila Nova de Foz Côa classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, for its Palaeolithic outdoor rock engravings and Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo reconquered by Alfonso IX de León from the Muslims are two examples. A history full of struggles and conquests, a town, that has left as witness a rich and varied monumental space.
